Dora didn't seem to know the answer to that either. She only said it a few times the entire night in English. Dora said she was being shy on trick or treat night. At least, she usually remembered to say thank you. Even though she wouldn't say Gracias instead as much as her Mami tried to get her to do so. She is growing up so fast. We took the wagon out again this year, but she insisted on walking up to every house with her brothers. The wagon came in handy at the end though. Once she was done, SHE WAS DONE. Need I say more?

October Gave A Party
October gave a party.
The leaves by hundreds came.
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And Leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet.
And everything was grand.
Miss Weather led the dancing.
Professor Wind the band.

Half Man, Half Ape!?
Boo at the Zoo
Today, I took Trent, Reed and Riley to the Columbus Zoo for Boo at the Zoo. It was a great day. Besides all the normal zoo fun, they had trick or treat stations and Halloween decorations. It was cloudy and cool which is our favorite zoo weather. The animals are much more active than in the heat of the summer. Since we only make it to the zoo about once a year, we are always surprised by how much has changed. It really keeps getting better and better. Polar bears joined the zoo this summer, and their new exhibit is really neat. They have also added a small amusement park to the zoo with about fifteen rides. By the time we made it over there, the kids were getting tired and were happy just choosing one ride each. Cole didn't go. He thinks he has outgrown the zoo. But can you really ever outgrow the zoo? I don't think so.

And This One Belongs To the Reds
Today, we went to the Reds last regular season game. They had already clinched a playoff spot last week by becoming National League Central Champions. It was a chilly and cloudy day with the threat of rain. Luckily, the rain held off and our seats were out of the wind. The atmosphere inside Great American Ball Park was great. You could feel the excitement in the crowd. And with a 3-2 victory including a home run by Jay Bruce, the Reds did not disappoint. It was especially exciting to see Chapman pitch for a little while late in the game. Go Reds! Beat the Phillies!
Haunted House Havoc
Reed went on a field trip to Brumbaugh Fruit Farm with his class on Wednesday, September 29th. While in the haunted house, Reed ran into a metal gate. We ended up at the doctor's office. Luckily, no stitches were needed. I told Reed he came out of the haunted house looking like he belonged in one! The last two pictures are of him "trying" to give his scariest monster face. Nasty cut or not, he is definitely too cute to scare anyone! Riley doesn't agree with me though. She keeps saying that Reed's face is broken and she doesn't like it that way. She wants him to go back to the doctor to fix his face.
