The Great Outdoors

We spent the last week of June enjoying the great outdoors with almost the entire Suchland family at Camp Sabroske. Although what we do (fishing, swimming, taking walks, playing games, etc.), is relatively simple, my kids and I look forward to it every year. Getting to spend time with family is good for all of us. The weather was perfect this year-highs of 75 to 80 and not a drop of rain. Some things have seemed to become annual traditions for us-spending a day at the beach at Maumee Bay, walking the trail at Magee Marsh, taking a boat ride with Grandpa and getting ice cream at Tofts. There are always new adventures each year as well. One of the things that I don't want to forget from this year was that Trent got to take his first fishing trip out on Lake Erie. Although we didn't catch any walleye, there were plenty of sheephead to keep the boys excited. Trent, Conner, Braeden and Hunter had a good time together on Grandpa's boat. I watched them and couldn't help but think about all the times that I went fishing as a girl. Doesn't seem so long ago. I think that is what I like best about Camp Sabroske. It holds so many memories of time spent with the people I love the most.
