We should have named him Picasso

Trent is ALWAYS creating. When most kids draw on the sidewalk with chalk, it is a rainbow, hopscotch area or something relatively simple. But, not Trent. He spent hours today drawing Greg from "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" (his current favorite books and now movie) sitting on the couch watching television. The drawing was so big, I couldn't get a picture of it all. Here is what I did get.

"Kids Say the Darndest Things"

Riley is constantly saying things that amaze us or crack us up. Because she is growing so quickly, I feel the need to write some of these down so I will never forget what she was like at age two.

When I asked her how many brothers she had, she quicky answered "Enough!"

When Grandma Sarah gave her a pink toy cell phone, she called it her PinkBerry because Steve and I have BlackBerrys that, of course, are black.

When I told her that she was growing up too fast, she said, "I want to get big because I want to get cookies from Jesus (communion) but I don't want to have to take a ride on the potty train."

When she was dressing up as Cinderella, she said "If I'm going to be a Princess, I need a Prince. I don't know a Prince. I guess I will have to ask Alex if he wants to be a Prince."

There Is One Way That She Takes After Her Brothers

Riley is all girl. But, she takes after her brothers in one way. When she gets hot, her face gets very, very red. So red, in fact, that you would think she was sunburned. Cole, Trent and Reed all do the same thing. This is her after playing outside recently.

If The Box Was Sound Proof...

I would have brought it home!

She Even Called Him Gorgeous!

We went to Boonshoft Museum today. Riley made a new friend.
She really did like him and wished she could pet him. Yuck!

Have you ever seen an opossum run in a "hamster wheel".
We hadn't, until today. It was FUNNY!
