Sunday, July 8th-
We left home around 8 am. We visited the Flight 93 Memorial in Stoystown, PA en route to DC. The memorial is only about a third completed but was still humbling to see. The rock marks the place where the plane hit the ground and is considered their burial ground.
We had originally planned to see some of the monuments on Sunday evening. Due to very heavy traffic the last few hours of traveling, we didn't make it to DC in time. We ate dinner at a restaraunt close to the hotel, swam in the pool and called it a night.
